What this website collects, what it does not, and how to ask a question about it.
MyNavyRetirement.com is a Retire With Honor service. Retire With Honor and MyNavyRetirement.com are independent services and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the United States Navy, Department of Defense, or any federal agency.
Contact-form submissions
If you use the contact form, we store the information you choose to send: your name, email address, and message, plus any optional ceremony details you include. Those records are kept so the business can reply. They are not sold.
When email delivery is configured, a copy of the message is sent through Resend to the site administrator. If email delivery is not configured, the message can still be stored for review in the site’s contact inbox.
Information you volunteer
Do not include information you do not want the business to have. Ceremony planning details are optional. The public contact form is not an RSVP system and does not collect a guest list.
Logs, cookies, and analytics
The site is hosted on Vercel. The host may keep ordinary server logs such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This application does not install an analytics product and does not set advertising cookies.
Signing in to the private administration area sets an authentication cookie. Ordinary visitors of the public website are not given that cookie. A honeypot field on the contact form is hidden from view and is used only to reject automated submissions.
Providers used to operate the site
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Cloudflare D1 and R2 store contact messages and any historical ceremony records when those services are configured.
- Resend delivers email when an API key is configured.
Earlier ceremony records
A previous version of this domain collected RSVPs, guestbook notes, and photo submissions for one retirement ceremony. Those public forms are closed. Guest lists, guestbook entries, and uploaded guest photos are not shown on the public website.
Retention
Contact messages are kept long enough to respond and for ordinary business records. Historical ceremony submissions that contain personal details are not published. A person may ask for a contact message they sent to be corrected or deleted.
Privacy questions
Use the contact form and choose a privacy-related message. There is no separate public mailbox published on this site.
